We are officially in the Mum & Dad club (and so proud of it)...
What a moving day it has been for us... And we can now tell you that we really do have a daughter - her name is 'Thia Jane'.. she is 8.5lb (or 3.8kgs) and is doing very well... she was born with the help of a c-section at 2:15pm on the 5th of March (not May) 2007...
Steph is doing very well, all things considered - although she will be very sore in the morning...
The labour and birth was not an ideal one, and was in need of an emergency c-section as Thia (feels funny typing our daughters name!!!! - whoa!!!).. but to cut a long story short, is doing very well...
Enough from me... here is proof (many more!!!) pictures of the day that Thia was born...
Visitors are more than welcome up to the hospital (we will be there for a wee while yet)

Yeah, she's there!!! Steph I'm so proud of you!! Congrats to both of you, proud and happy new parents!! She looks amazingly cute!!! And what a beautiful name, love it!
Wish I was in the neighbourhood to come and visit... but I will just continue to read your blog and feel close to you this way! (So Grant, you know what to do.. keep up the good work with heaps and heaps of pics!)

CONGRATS you guys!!! She is such a beautiful little girl and love the name Thia. Well done Steph and of course Grant for making it through and taking the pics. I hope Steph is recovering ok and bubs is doing well. Look forward to more pics.

Congratulations Steph a really neat granddaughter. Here's hoping for quick recovery. We were so pleased to be able to be with the three of you last evening. To Grant - Congratulations well done and so nice to know that you are being the supportive father.
