Our Naki visit in the weekend

Hey there,
So, we have have up to visit the Naki over the weekend - I was up there for work, so brought my girls up for a look see and hopefully we would be able to see Paula & Bretts new baby... well - only one of the two things happened... that was work!!!... no baby as yet...
Nana & Poppa Mantle loved our stay, especially being able to spend time with Thia... Thia loved being spoilt with all the cuddles and giggles provided by all..
Unfortunately a wee cold was brewing up for Thia and has developed into a full blown throat, ear and chest infection.. so had to come back a few hours earlier than expected to go and see the Doc..
So the medication is settling her down really well.. and is hopefully on the mend soon... not much fun seeing her like that....
Big thanks to you all in Naki for the great weekend... and the many many laughs over the Cranium playing board...

P.S. Hope to be up in the Naki to see the new baby soon!!! (real soon we hope!!!!)

Weekend update

Sup guys,

Hope you are all well and kicking... Thia is kicking, and kicking heaps... she has been to the Plunket for a checkup and all is great... she is now over 7kgs, and is well within the good side of a girl her age for height and weight..Its been another busy week (hence no posts - Sorry!!!)...
Thias room has been an 'Open Room' since her room got a do-over... everyone is telling us what a wonderful job we had done... We totally agree!!!....Since the visit from Karen & Alan in the weekend, we have been talking lots about what to do next around the house - so thanks to them for the jump start...
We had the Brunton girls and Madison stay the night on Friday, no need to ask what time they were up!!! - some ungodly hour.. They weren't interested in waking us up, but they did want to play with Thia at 5am... hehehehe....
We had the attack of the killer ants in the pantry, so that was a pain in the friggen butt to clean up... but man do we have a clean pantry now!!! (P.S. they didn't kill anyone this time - hehehehehe)....
Aaron, Sophie and I went to watch Hamish win at his rugby... boy was it freezing!!!...Then it was shopping to go and get some more canvas for some wild brainwave we had in mind... Steph is also pretty keen on a huge on to do for our bedroom - will get this weekend maybe...
After that, we went out for Bens birthday... and then it was straight home and painting the canvas ready for Thia to wake in the morning... have a look at the pics for the final result...
After that it was a lazy Sunday, however it did finish with a bit of a roar.... we have a little more to go, but are pretty much there... huge thanks to Aaron and Shawn for their help... it looks awesome... the sun is now welcome to stay, and the washing will stay dry....

Thia is so loving her bouncy do-hick thing... (One would say she is learning the ups and downs!!! - hehehehe)

Madison and Thia bonding and playing

Thia has a long way to feeding herself, but she gets the idea on where it should go...

Changing time for Thia... she gets lots of help...

Just one of the dress ups from the girls...

I guess this is why they call it a jump suit!!!

Cause she is a rabbit... hehehehe

Up first thing in on Sunday morning - this is what we call 'arts and crafts'... (or a bloody mess!!!)

The end result was worth it eh!!!

Thia and her first rusk biscuit thing

This is the front of the house... with the help of Aaron and Shawn we have got a new varanda roof... 4 sheets to finish in the weekend...

Anyone who has been to our house, would no what the old roofing was like... we now have no moss, no leaks (I hope).... and plenty of sun....

Thias new room - A Jungle room

Hey there people,

GUESS WHAT!!! - Thia is now 5 months old today!!! - wholly cow!!!!

What a wicked as weekend - we have been hard at work all of it. With our second weekend of having Taranaki folk visiting us... It was Aunty Karen & Uncle Alan turn to visit and they where kind enough to help out with doing up Thia's room (with plenty of time for shitload of shopping!!! - BOOT LOADS of it!!!)
Anyhow - while the three chicks went shopping (or in Thia's case sleeping most of it - hehehe)... (P.S. the new Palmy Toyworld is awesome!!! for both the little and big people)...
The boys where planning Thia's new look room... The job was far to big to finish on Saturday night, so after tea we all sat down to play 'Cranium' - what a wicked game that is!!! (we never finished playing it until 12:30 -it is so addictive!!!)..
Sunday started off with more shopping.... And the boys finished up completing the room...
We are all really thankful to the Alan & Karen for helping us finish Thia's room, and of cause we are very thankful to Susan (Stephs old boss) for drawing the Jungle mural to start us off with!!!...
Have a look at what we did, and what we finished off (you might be very surprised!!!!) - Thanks to all!!!!...

P.S. Happy Birthday to Steph's friend Kate (from USA) today..

The morning started off with an awesome feed from Aunty Karen
YUM!!! - very nice!!!
Thia is on hand most of the process of making her room - she took great interest in listening to Uncle Alans instructions. or maybe she just liked the smell of the glue (hehehehe)

A test run on how everything looked on wall.
After many many hours of hard work and a few challenges put to us, Uncle Alan & Thia walking thru to Thia's new room for the first time.

Thia not only got spoilt with the her room - but her Uncle also brought her a monkey for her jungle..
